This past Saturday night the St. Ann Parish Center experienced a full house for the 2011 St. Ann Catholic School Talent Show. It was a night full of amazing performances that included everything from comedy and acting to magic and musical performances. It was great to see so many friends and families there to cheer on the amazing performers. Thanks to everyone that helped put on the show and to everyone that performed. Here’s a video montage of photos taken during the event.
This year’s spring musical “Don’t Say NO to the USO” at St. Ann Catholic School was another huge success. The musical was performed by the 8th grade class along with some 7th graders to help round out the cast. The students began rehearsals the week after Thanksgiving and performed the play the first weekend in March. This is also the 70th anniversry of the USO, so the students donated a portion of the play proceeds to the USO organization.
The play was directed and choreographed by Mrs. Chris Hudson, our school secretary, and Mrs. Jane Kayser, a former St. Ann teacher.
Mr. Al Fischer, our music teacher, was a huge help in teaching the students all the music.
Below is a video remix of photos taken during the March 5th performance.
Back in December we posted the video below of our new school song written by our very own music teacher, Mr. Fischer. To make sure everyone learns the words of the song we are posting them below for your learning pleasure. Make sure you study them diligently as you never know when your kids will break out into the school song and ask you to join in.
Special thanks to Mr. Stephen Engelmeyer for providing the video footage.

I don’t think it gets any cuter than this my friends. Today the students in the St. Ann Early Childhood Center put on their annual Christmas program for family and friends. The kids were super cute and did a great job of singing and standing still. To help brighten your day we’re pleased to present a video remix of some photos taken at today’s program. And as a bonus we have the photos below as well which are hosted on our school Flickr account. We hope you enjoy!
In case you weren’t able to attend the wonderful Christmas Program last night at St. Ann here is a video of the debut of the new St. Ann school song, “Go Crusaders!” written by our very own music teacher Mr. Fischer.
Special thanks to Mr. Stephen Engelmeyer for providing the video footage.
The students of St. Ann School will be presenting their Holiday Concert on Wednesday, December 15 at 6:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall. With voices and instruments they will perform music ranging from beautiful Holiday-themed fare to Broadway music and beyond. Admission is free!
This past weekend the 2010 St. Ann Talent Show was held in the parish center. The show was a huge success and everyone enjoyed viewing the talent of St. Ann’s student body. Here are some photos from this year’s event.
On November 5th, enjoy a delicious spaghetti dinner prepared by Different Dishes caterer Brian Dailey. Then be prepared to be dazzled by the talents of students from St. Ann Catholic School. They will sing, dance, play musical instruments, and more! We promise that you will have a great evening! Many thanks to Mr. & Mrs. Cheri and Mark Smith for the many hours they spend at rehearsals helping the students to prepare for their big night on stage.
That’s what you’ll be hearing when the 8th grade class presents “The Big, Bad Musical” in February. It seems that the big, bad wolf is being put on trial for crimes against various fairytale characters. His lawyer the Evil Stepmother, will be pitting her wills against the Prosecuting Attorney, the Fairy Godmother. Little Red Riding Hood and Granny, along with many other defendants are looking for a big settlement from Mr. Wolf. Will he get off scott free? That will be up to you, the jury!!
Come join us for this hysterical courtroom calamity! Performances will be Thursday, Feb. 11 – Saturday, Feb. 13, beginning at 7 pm in the Parish Center.
Tickets are $5.00 for adults, $3.00 for students, and $2.00 for children 5 and under. All tickets are general admission.
On Thursday morning the 8th grade treated the school to a Halloween song. As Mr. Wiedmann played the guitar, the 8th grade sang “Down to the Quarry” originally sung by Peter, Paul and Mary. The fantastic singing from the girls was complimented by the eerie howls and grief stricken moans and cries from the boys. Great job everyone! Now we are REALLY looking forward to the 8th grade play!
