High school acceptance letters were mailed on Feb. 5, 2010. We are pleased to announce that each of our eighth grade students was accepted at his/her first-choice high school. The students are very happy!
Below is a list of the schools that the students will attend next year along with the number of students going there from St. Ann Catholic School.
Congratulations to all the members of the Class of 2010!
St. Ann Catholic School was chosen as a project site for the UMSL Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service. A group of 7th-8th grade students provided free babysitting supervised by a parent volunteer. A team of 30 St. Ann School teachers, parents, students, and parishioners arrived in the morning of Monday, January 18, 2010. They got busy cleaning the halls, stairways, Science Lab, and cafeteria. They painted walls in the main hallway, the 5th grade classroom, and the 4th and 5th grade stairwells. They scraped paint in the cafeteria and repainted those walls. An UMSL team of 7 volunteers arrived after noon with lunches for our 30 school volunteers and paint for the Science Lab and the cafeteria. The UMSL team painted the Science Lab and helped to clean the cafeteria. An enormous amount of work was accomplished!
Mark your calendars for January 17, 2011. We will be asking for volunteer help from parents and students for the 2nd annual event! We hope to be chosen as an UMSL project site again next year, too.
Below are some photos taken during the Day of Service.
Did you know that St. Ann Catholic School has its very own YouTube channel?
We’ve setup a YouTube channel to share a variety of video clips that help to promote St. Ann while also sharing everything going on within the St. Ann community. Currently we have only one video on the channel but we are looking forward to adding additional content as it is produced.
If you have video of St. Ann related events that you would like added to the school’s YouTube channel please contact us via email to see if you video can be featured.
We encourage you to visit us on YouTube and spread the word so others can bookmark our channel and keep up to date on everything happening at St. Ann Catholic School.
Complete registration information and details have now been added to the school website. You may download all registration forms and details, as well as view additional information about St. Ann Catholic School by clicking here.

Catholic Schools week was kicked off with the fourth annual Academic Bowl in the Parish Center. The students were divided into 15 teams. Each team had one or two students from every grade. The students had to answer questions created by the teachers. The winning team (pictured here) answered 47 out of 50 questions! Congratulations!
On Tuesday the students participated in game time. Each student was encouraged to bring a board or card game to share. It was a nice way to get together with friends from another grade and have some fun!
On Tuesday the school was treated to a presentation entitled “Birds of Prey” The bird handlers showed the students 7 different bird species and shared amazing facts about each. Owls, falcons and ravens flew across the gym, coming within inches of the students heads. One raven was able to land on a teacher’s arm, take a soda can from her hand and recycle it in the bin! Awesome! Thanks to SACPO for sponsoring this fun presentation!
