For 20+ years the St. Ann second graders have participated in the Prayer Pal program.  Each  student in 2^nd grade is paired with a St. Ann parishioner who promises to keep them in prayer as they go through their sacramental preparation.  In the beginning of the school year, the Prayer Pals are introduced to each other after an all-school liturgy.  The 2^nd graders escort their new Pals over to the classroom where they exchange notes and pictures and sing songs.  From then on, the Prayer Pals meet at the back of church each week for a quick hug and hello before the students head back to the classroom.

Prayer Pals frequently attend the student’s First Reconciliation and First Eucharist.  The second graders enjoy writing notes and drawing pictures for their Prayer Pals. All Prayer Pals promise to pray for each other daily!
